A Happy Friday

星期五早上起来的时候酒意依然没退。
出门买了杯咖啡一路走到MET,走的那么快却也用了一个小时。脚下柔软的便鞋也把脚趾磨到了。
下到MET的仓库。我是不懂中国山水墨画的,从理论到实际,孔子教授一眼就看出我的窘迫,咬了两口便松了。
后来人人都被叫上前去描述图中所绘。轮到我时紧张的不得了,却不是怕回答错误,而是全力贯注大脑对画的反应,一个墨点,一划笔触的艰难地描述。后来又看了另一副,说是(??)的。
一直看,一直拼命地看到12点,下课前那一瞬间,突然悟明白两副画笔法构图的差异,以及郭熙的画为什么妙了。The tonality of the painting is light, full of ink wash.  However, the contrasts between light and dark permeate every detail of the painting to make out a vivid representation.  Moreover, Guo’s composition uses "open" form, depict lines, shades that are not defined clearly as mountain, river or trees.  The outlines of the mountain dissolves into the blank, which invoke imaginations which vary according to viewers.  (a little bit like Impressionism? not the exact representational detail, but instead, the atmosphere, and the visual effect to eyes)
无论自己的感悟对错,毕竟是迈出了第一步。之后就高兴的不得了。兴致勃勃地和Joe 和Lihong 一边塞BLT边一个劲地聊天。
星期五的下午很热,GP还是天蓝色的夏天打扮。GP真的是个很好很会关照提拔我的教授。从kyoto 到no incomplete到poker face,一席话受益匪浅。还借了本书,说是可以当thesis的范本。
回到家睡意越发浓重,终究倒在床上把德语课小睡过去,终究是退课。

星期六见了一个新的朋友,Miri-san介绍的。去Kinokuniya买了两本日语杂志漫画,也终于买了昂贵的毛衫,配上秋意盎然的意大利软鞋,周一开始向地下图书馆进发。
夏天京都的kcjs program里的一个19岁的富家小孩今年转到columbia,一口一个师姐前辈,做事却是毫无轻重也无尊重。我轻笑,回到纽约还以为我是夏天的年糕mode的话,就大错特错了。
